not much substance in the article, sadly. There really needs to be some solid evidence on the mechanism and causes - which would be very interesting and a great opportunity for a follow-up.

Are we dealing pro-AI astroturfing in the lead up to IPOs?

Also noticed this item got shadowbanned off the front page, without as much as a "flag" designation. The pro AI crowd seems unable to face the reality that AI is being used in nefarious ways by the most powerful people, in ways that many were warning about a decade ago.

The "Emperor's new propaganda" (entirely done by others and passed along) is the "projection" of many persons' secret fantasies and also their need to blame others (which he does relentlessly for anyone not himself) for their own weaknesses, fears and failures.

It's a complete con job, but primed 24 by 7 by 365 by media lies and distortions. It's a very closed circle, like a cult.

I think this type of generated content has the same role as illustrations or newspaper caricatures in the past. It doesn't need to be true, it just needs to express a particular viewpoint.

it is shocking to see that you have not even read the paper and you are just presenting it directly. You do know that Trump uses AI slop to produce nonsensical and caricatures of people right? That's a completely different category of AI generated images from the study you have showed which is specifically made to be indistinguishable from real people.

what the fuck do you know about what i have read?

i was responding to a statement from the article. the link i shared is to an article that i read. it is cited some 600 times by similar articles.

i don't have the time to analyze every thing that the president or his administration posts. i don't know the realness of the AI faces he posts. if you have a resource that summarizes this, feel free to share.

maybe try to add to a discussion instead of ridiculing those participating in it with anecdotes and accusations.
