People actually bought version 1, and still use it, but its mostly free users. Its hard to get people to pay anything.. but i did make about $1000 from v1. People still use it everyday, even though its not AS useful as it was before since agents have improved but it comes in handy.

I can't even get anyone to try buttons cli for free lol, I use it though, to see what codex is doing in terminals (and I like clicking buttons and being able to generate commands faster than googling) https://buttonscli.com/3/

I see the claims, but I don’t see any evidence supporting them. Could you share what you’re basing the guarantee on? Do you have any publicly available data showing that your app delivers guaranteed results and outperforms GLP-1s? I searched and couldn’t find anything supporting those claims.

I know you work for MacroFactor, but when will you guys publish the datasets you used to benchmark your algorithm? https://macrofactor.com/algorithm-accuracy/

Greg Nuckols Macrofactor's benchmark metrics therefore depend on internal data that isn't disclosed or independently verifiable.

So the published accuracy claims don't tell us much. It's like a student saying, “I scored 99% on a test,” but not showing anyone the test questions or their answers. You have no way to independently verify whether the score actually reflects how well they perform.

The number might be completely accurate, but without seeing the benchmark dataset, there's no way for anyone outside the company to reproduce or properly evaluate the claim.

But for Macrocodex, we do not charge people any money, and people can read the reviews and even the algorithm details!

Our effectiveness claims are based on our own data from 17,000+ users and independent user reports in our group, consisting of 2,000+ members already!

Yes, our group has thousands of members and where people can join the group through the Macrocodex app, they'll see Macrocodex users outperforming GLP users.

Greg Nuckols can't even do math well. Look at their subreddit, people are always having issues with their app.

As macrocodex is beating macrofactor by a long shot, many people are realizing that Greg Nuckols's science is more about marketing than results and evidence!

Do you remember the Hussain and Solomon controversy of Jeff Nippard, one of the top MacroFactor promoters? And the PhD controversy of Mike Israetel?

MacroFactor charges $72 a year and spends a lot of money paying influencers to promote the app, so it’s not surprising that you see so many submarine posts about it.

Very soon, everyone will realize this!

I'm working on a small SaaS to archive web pages. It's still very early stage. So far there's a Chrome/Firefox extension and RSS feed reader. I'm still working on some more interesting integrations.

At the moment, it's not really a monetize-able product because it's so niche, and competitors are well established. My goal is to have stable, consistent pricing for years (hopefully decades), while also making it easy to switch to self-hosted alternatives.

I never thought anybody would pay for this. I have it locally, no need for sass. And it hits into my zettlekasten. Even the people I know that have a use for this, are unwilling to pay and they rather suffer copy pasting things. It seems more of a feature than a service imo so the integrations would be the interesting bit. Best of luck!!

I made a notepad, which is also a shared memory layers for all of the agents (claude, gpt). So wherever you talk, you're saving important info without efforts. It gets saved & organised on its own.

Its called Lapse (lapse.in) & its completely free

Congrats on the 700. Genuine question: how did you land on the current price, and have you ever tested going up? In my experience the first price a bootstrapper picks is the one they'd pay themselves, which is almost always too low.
