Show HN: I made a anonymous gallery / Anti Social Media
Posted by filipfilm1978 1 hour ago
I got tired of social media turning photographers into marketers and optimizing art for algorithms. I built Gallery Anonima as an "antisocial" network. There are no likes, comments, followers, or personal profiles. It’s just a quiet place to share photos anonymously. The focus is entirely on the image, not the engagement. Would love for you to check it out and hear your thoughts.

It wants an email address to proceed.
Today people use anonymous picture and video sharing sites called a "chan" site [1]. The trend started in Japan but found it's way to the US and EU. Click at your own peril, some have NSFW content. They do not require an email or login unless one is a moderator. Some of them allow people to delete their own threads and files provided they still have their session cookie.
In my experience if something requires an email address it is neither anonymous nor will most people bother aside from playing around with it to judge the html / css / javascript.

I totally get it. It makes sense to me but others may not see that as anonymous in the sense they are used to with chan sites is all I meant. Removing the social media aspect could be good for a social circle of artists that do not want people to comment. I could see people from Deviant Art [1] maybe liking this concept. The admins there wont like someone linking to what they might perceive as a competitor but I think the individual artists may like it.
